August 8, 2010, Sunday: 3 – 4.30 pm- Registration and moving in.

If you are staying on campus, you will get your room assignment at that time.

You must move in by 4.30 pm



Shady Side Academy Room and board pricing per student, per night (not included in tuition):

Room – $25;  Breakfast – $5;  Lunch – $7;  Dinner – $12   =  $49 per day total

Move-in Sunday, August 8th: 3 – 4.30 pm

Move-out choice: 1. Sunday August 14 after the closing concert-about 10pm  or 2. Sunday, August 15th before 12 noon)

You will be able to make your choice on the Room and Board form.

5 – 6  pm - Orientation session for all participants. Location: Black Box Theater.

You will receive your individual daily schedule of Chamber Music coaching, Music Business sessions and special events.

6 – 7 pm    Dinner. Parents and guests of participants will have the option to dine on campus. Dinners can be pre-ordered  on the Room and Board form.


7:00 pmGrand Opening Concert, featuring faculty members and special guest artists.

Location: Hillman Center for Performing Arts.




Monday, August 9 – Saturday, August 14

Daily schedule:

From 9 am to 4.30 pm: Chamber Music coaching sessions, Master Classes, Special Performances/Music Presentations.

Don’t worry… there are breaks  ;)

5 pm to 8.30 pm – Informative, practical and life changing Music Business Sessions.

These Sessions are optional for pre-college age participants.

However, if you are planning to go into music professionally we highly recommend you be there!

At the Seminar we are dedicated to help you not only dramatically improve your playing and understanding of what it takes to be a first-rate performer, but to expose you to all the aspects of the music business and to give you step-by-step plans, tools and new “real life” skills to become equipped for long term success in your career.

Saturday, August 14th – final day of master-classes and presentations.

7 pm – Final Closing Concert!

(It’s possible there will be two concerts that day…TBD at a later date)

Three winners will be announced at the Grand Finale Concert on Saturday.
